Rachel and I have quite a few annual Halloween traditions that we partake in. Amongst them is, (of course) going to pumpkin patch, decorating our homes, and watching nothing but horror films all month long. For the past couple of years, we have been building our horror movie collection by making trips to Rasputin. For those that don't know, Rasputin is a buy and sell consignment store thats carries movies, music, and books. On this trip, I picked up The Uninvited, The House of the Devil, and Silent House.
I thought it was only appropriate to get in the spirit of the holiday, by wearing pumpkin sweater vest, paired with spandex leggings to contrast. Because the sweater vest was a thrift store find (and borderline old ladyish), I added a dark vampy lip to make the look a little more edgy. I also painted my nails with OPI's "Apline Snow" and gave it a dripping blood effect on top with Essie's "Bordeaux".

Going to the pumpkin patch is a huge highlight for me. It marks the start of the holidays and and my favorite season, Autumn. However the weather was a bit warmer then I would have preferred it to be, but we had a great time regardless. I managed to find two of the most perfect little pumpkins I've ever seen, and walked out with a orange and white one to add to the front porch.

My very good friend Marko has launched his beautiful new website California Address. He's done a wonderful job at piecing together what a California lifestyle is really like. Where to go, what to do and see. I was honored that he asked to interview me. You can check the article and his site here!

The Marc Jacobs fall line is fantastic. The minute I saw the look book I immediately had to start sketching. The variety in shapes and patterns was a blast to push and manipulate. Here are some illustrations based on the Fall look book which can be found here!

Summer vacation is coming to an end, and I recently returned to San Jose for my last year of college (eeek!). A trip to Universal Studios was my last hurrah before I surrender my soul to another school year.
People have complained the the park is too small or too boring. I disagree; 100% of the time, you'll find me choosing Disneyland and Universal over any other amusement park. Why? The atmosphere. I am an insane movie geek, and every time I visit the park I leave with the urge to watch every movie on my shelf. To put it simply, I love how I feel when I am there.
Michelle and I manged to hit every ride in the park, and we ended our day with a trip to one of our favorite restaurants, Bubba Gump.
